It's not much of a difference tbh. I think part of that is remenant belief from Diablo II! Fairly sure blizz have stated they didn't want it to be a big difference or people would just farm the cow level and no other parts of the game. And that is not what they want.

According to the theories in forums, the secret cow level seems to drop best loot in the game (one step above last level of your difficulty), and also has significantly higher droprate of legendaries.

But yeah, D3 is single player game for most, so server problems at Blizz are epic fail.

WoW had frequently 2-3 day outages during vanilla and early TBC after wednesday maintenances.

I dunnoooo. I think the WoW forum would descend into worse rage if faced with a similar situation.

Kinda proves that WoW players are more mature in comparison. Regardless of the minimum age limit of the game.

There seems to be an unusual amount of nerdrage in the D3 tech support forum. It actually makes the wow forums look mature by comparison.

Anyway, the anniversary is not far away. We need some more ideas to celebrate this :)

For those thinking of a treasure/quiz idea, get thinking and of course ask for some help to organise it if you want. /pm it tho so we don't all get to know the answers first :)

I thought "Nooo.. don't want to recite the old prophecy just so we can all have a collective moan at that plonker... you oldies know who I mean  :P ".

That's true - maybe we should ban all mention of him from the event?

if you mean the one who came, pissed everyone around and than left the realm... well, he is part of story, and that particular part is closed now, its history... and we do wanna tell the true story of Prophecy, dont we?

Also another fun idea, thought not sure whether it would be too much off-RP, would be to prepare "skits" or scenes that come from movies, sotirs (like Cindirella for example) or anything that comes to mind.

I used to do that with my friends every Xmas. We'd make groups and we'd prepare some comic version of a movie (very short ones and stuff) or anything funny for example. It could be done with references to WOW for example, a bit like me and Blazul have done yesterday and the day before when we were doing The WOWtrix.

I can think of something style Minority Report when reporting stuff to GMS for example. Lots of other ideas could be done like that.

Well, I've made a start on some events etc. I'm looking for a volunteer to create a scene for a finale event - reciting the history of the guild.

So post here if you're interested in doing this, it could of course be a few people RP'ing this. Post me your ideas so we can work this into the events.

So far, I'm thinking of a great race - that TV show was called something like [bah can't remember] think they were racing to get a big award...wish I could remember it, the name that springs to mind is wrong, something like great goose race... bah!

Anyway,
Think there will be two teams - The Sprockets and Spanners.

There's gonna be questions that take you across the world to find answers, not clues, just look around to answer a question - these will be posted so you can split-up and do them during the day, or as a team. I'm also thinking of tasks to complete

You'll also be able to take part in some events, so far 3 of them. Ones a boxing match, another other is a race. Thinking the first one will involve 1-2 representatives, the other a team event too. Finally there's a task which will require a team and will start with a bit of RP. I'll need a volunteer to help me with that one - possibly two. You could be a member of a team, just means you won't be playing your main during that event :p

PS I'd love to have another person to help come up with questions and maybe tasks. If you're really really interested, then post to let me know. Note: You won't be able to take part in the teams, but you will be a Judge.

Likely you'll need to have a clear diary during the week. So don't volunteer if you're planning on lots of PvP raids etc. And ideally, you may like to take part in one task which requires some RP.

PPS I don't mean to 'take over the organising of the event', just I'd like this to be something really special - since it will only happen once.
