It's not much of a difference tbh. I think part of that is remenant belief from Diablo II! Fairly sure blizz have stated they didn't want it to be a big difference or people would just farm the cow level and no other parts of the game. And that is not what they want.

According to the theories in forums, the secret cow level seems to drop best loot in the game (one step above last level of your difficulty), and also has significantly higher droprate of legendaries.

But yeah, D3 is single player game for most, so server problems at Blizz are epic fail.

WoW had frequently 2-3 day outages during vanilla and early TBC after wednesday maintenances.

I dunnoooo. I think the WoW forum would descend into worse rage if faced with a similar situation.

Kinda proves that WoW players are more mature in comparison. Regardless of the minimum age limit of the game.

There seems to be an unusual amount of nerdrage in the D3 tech support forum. It actually makes the wow forums look mature by comparison.

Anniversary Ideas
« on: Thursday, 30 Aug 2007, 21:57:27 »
As announced by Heffa at tonight's guild meeting, we're soon to be one year old, and to celebrate we're asking for your ideas on how we can celebrate this grand occasion.

I'm just going to post some random thoughts I have to far - I think we need to consider holding the event in a location(s) which are accessible to virtually everyone, that could mean Outlands is not an option.

Shimmering Flats - Horse racing
Darkmoon Faire - not sure when it's next, there are some Tonks there to play with
Gadgetzan or similar place - bare-knuckle fighting.

We could also do an event based on our old storyline, and visit Ahn'Qiraj again. I know we have some lower level members, but if we don't actually go into the instance, we can probably protect them from the other bugs in Silithus :) It'd bring an RP element to the event.

But please, post any ideas you have - it should a huge event so the more, the better.

1. track and field mayb? like start at undercity and make it to the bottom of the map on foot? stick to the roads and the lower lvls will be ok and no abiltitys.

2. guild pvp each team that's in AB the player that gets the most kills wins? But then the healers wont get anywhere...... but who heals in BG's these days....

3. or for some real fun get some other guilds to join in our little party and raid stormwind or what ever its called  ;D........ need alot tho... like 2 full raid party's or more 80+ players hitting a ally city sounds like some real fun  8)

If it's 'Killing Blows' then not many classes I think, it's also just a bit of luck. If it's just HKs then healers get credit, I only ever heal and so can get the top kill count if I'm healing the main group.

hi guys my idea was kinda based on a tv show i saw once (great race) or somthin like tht, anyways the idea was teams of ppl raced all over the planet solving riddle based clues to find the next location and then getting there as fast as possible so i was thinkin of an azeroth version and we base the clues on quests and characters from around the world.
And finish it on a beech for a nice little celebration at the end lol anyways i guess it would mean a few volunters standing at some odd locations around the map to give ppl the next clues but we would have to work tht out later along with the clues.
Although the killin masses of allis idea above sounds good to ;) i havent seen an alli city in along time and would make a change for us to be messin with them.
anyways im done =)

*salute all*

I was thinking also of a treasure hunt theme, you only need say 10 clues scattered around the world. That would take maybe one hour to complete. And so ensure everyone could take part, split ppl into teams, so that clues in the lower parts of the old world could be done by lower-levels etc.

Yeah, something along the lines of a treasure hunt with clues etc sounds good. We have been thinking about something similar before now, but now we have a big event to actually organise it for ;D

Hey! Consider the beach party in the end of the hunt that Kaz mentioned. Would be great!
Some reggae music, some strong coctails, a big fire, the sound of the waves *starts to dance*
Great idea to say goodye to the summer as well.  ;)

Its going to be a year since the Prophecy was formed and lot of people come to us hearing its call. Bud do people actually remember the history of our guild, the initial storyline…?

I guess it would be nice to make a little trip in time and show newcomers (and refresh memory for the rest of us) where the Prophecy begun… and to tell the story once more…

There are only few of us, that experienced forming of the Prophecy, and those were great times, would be nice to share them with the rest of the guild…

So I guess we might start with a place where prophecy was formed, and explain people the vision of our first high priestess leelu, and what story is behind the guild tabard… we might than go and fight the bugs at barens as the vision continues and finally face the bugs in front of their own temple where we faced the biggest crisis, but Prophecy survived and all believers should know what Prophecy is about…

hmm Actualy that could be make real good. ... Combine treasure hunting with Prop history.   Find the person, get your info + a clue to the next person and at the end to the place where we`d make a party!

I think a combination of the two would be fantastic. It'd be great to celebrate our history, and the treasure hunt sounds lots of fun. A giant party to finish off would be excellent.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, combine fun and challenging events with the history (RP) side of our guild. Only reason I didn't post this earlier was I thought "Nooo.. don't want to recite the old prophecy just so we can all have a collective moan at that plonker... you oldies know who I mean  :P ".
