It's not much of a difference tbh. I think part of that is remenant belief from Diablo II! Fairly sure blizz have stated they didn't want it to be a big difference or people would just farm the cow level and no other parts of the game. And that is not what they want.

According to the theories in forums, the secret cow level seems to drop best loot in the game (one step above last level of your difficulty), and also has significantly higher droprate of legendaries.

But yeah, D3 is single player game for most, so server problems at Blizz are epic fail.

WoW had frequently 2-3 day outages during vanilla and early TBC after wednesday maintenances.

I dunnoooo. I think the WoW forum would descend into worse rage if faced with a similar situation.

Kinda proves that WoW players are more mature in comparison. Regardless of the minimum age limit of the game.

There seems to be an unusual amount of nerdrage in the D3 tech support forum. It actually makes the wow forums look mature by comparison.

Agreed - people have become too used to the polish that older MMO's have nowadays. Expecting a new MMO to look/feel/work as great as their previous MMO this early is rather naive.

Be it lack of experience or pressure from investors to rush content - nothing is perfect from day 1.

Endgame isn`t that broken. We are just whining alot :D

The "new Ilum" is, however, retarded, and I feel sorry for people who were corpse-camped for 2 hours yesterday without having a chance to escape from it (except by using WZ trick which wasn`t very popular, or playing an alt).
However, world pvp won`t work anyways (and I`m not interested in it) - the way Ilum worked before was funny. At least I know I was laughing pretty hard!

The bugs in flashpoints are a bit annoying, but I think they are less of an issue with a full group and people who know their stuff. They even took their time to fix the knockback issue I was talking about, and the fix was pretty quick.
Overall, I`d love to experience more endgame - it`s not as horrible as we whiners make it seem :D In fact, it looks pretty cool.

Things that crop up on the forums are still going to be complaints. People who are reviewing a game are going to include the info about major bugs - because if they don't they'd be rubbish at that job.

Go to the WoW forums and the bits that aren't help/troll/guild ad/random horse hockey threads are people complaining about this and that and how blizz won't have their subscription anymore cause they broke X, or Y isn't how they want it.

Folks like to moan and have a good feetstamp.

People who find the actual game fun will probably keep on playing it despite bugs - as they are just a bit annoying unless they are actually gamebreaking. And tbh if a gamebreaking bug slipped the net, bioware should be moaned at for that if they don't fix it fast as they are providing a bad service.
(Maky just posted lovely evidence toward this point ;) ;D )

Hey guys and girls :-)

I was thinking that I will give SWTOR a go starting this weekend and I would like to play with you guys, so was wondering how does the guild system/invites and that sort of stuff works on SWTOR? Server and guild name in the first post is still correct?

Any tips for how I should start? What class and that sort of stuff?

Yeah, server/guild name is correct: <Prophecy> on Luka Sene. You can whisper me (Maky), Ara (Zarnee), Row (Wyndaar), Sini (Sinistrea) for a guild invite. We play republic side.

As for class, pick what you like!

Regarding class it mostly depends on your playing style and story preference.

The Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular are what I'd call the two aspects of the "movie jedi" blade. The knight is more the action hero aspect of the Jedi, while the Consular is the patient, diplomatic aspect.

Troopers are a bit like a Steven Seagal movie - lots of action, plot twists and soldier humor. And lots of military pride (If you're into series like NCIS, or similar navy/army themed series you'll know what I mean)

Smugglers are your typical anti heroes - depending on how you choose to play them at least. Expect lots of inappropriate flirting humor, cheesy villain lines and all the other awesome stuff that "rogues" tend to get in movies (think Robin Hood, Han Solo etc..)

Cleared HM: Battle of Ilum, False Emperor, Taral V, Maelstrom Prison.
4-manned Ilum with a pug, he bailed at False Emperor so then we used IMBA RISHA, who`s doing awesome DPS, so we kept on 3-manning rest.
Except buggy mechanics, everything fell down really smooth. Knockback boss 1-shot (thanks for fix Bioware \o/ ), the dreaded Taral V fell down the 2nd pull, etc.

LFM Eternity Vault? :(
