It's not much of a difference tbh. I think part of that is remenant belief from Diablo II! Fairly sure blizz have stated they didn't want it to be a big difference or people would just farm the cow level and no other parts of the game. And that is not what they want.

According to the theories in forums, the secret cow level seems to drop best loot in the game (one step above last level of your difficulty), and also has significantly higher droprate of legendaries.

But yeah, D3 is single player game for most, so server problems at Blizz are epic fail.

WoW had frequently 2-3 day outages during vanilla and early TBC after wednesday maintenances.

I dunnoooo. I think the WoW forum would descend into worse rage if faced with a similar situation.

Kinda proves that WoW players are more mature in comparison. Regardless of the minimum age limit of the game.

There seems to be an unusual amount of nerdrage in the D3 tech support forum. It actually makes the wow forums look mature by comparison.

Republic at the start (dunno how long I'll be around, possibly not long!) because the cyber-rainbow look of all the imperial I've seen makes me a bit sad and cause shadow consular fellows look like fun. Could be persuaded to take up the technicolour banner of the sith if others are headed that way though.

Don't really mind what kind of server, though I have no intent towards RP for star wars particularly, but I'm capable of being a good girl and not ruining everyone elses immersion so ;D

I will probably start a bit later than launch. But some friends have pre-ordered. I think they prefer RP server (for the nice and quiet mostly) and rebel scum.

I'll try to persuade them to pick whatever we're picking with the poll. Empire or rebel scum makes little difference compared to being wherever you guys are :)

I'm not gonna fall for the hype. If people are still genuinely interested in few months, will reconsider checking it out.

Just being practical. 2 months is how long people who quitted WoW to start playing LotRO, AoC, Warhammer, Aion and Rift took to return.

Well, imo those 2 months are the only ones worth it. I probably won't play it in 2-3 months unless there is a really good endgame there which I highly doubt. But exploring a new MMO is usually worth it.

This is true. But you aren't paying any more for this than any other big game (and most of those would provide a week or two of play) and if it means all you get is a couple of months roflstomping around with friends before most folk get bored and stop playing that's money well spent!

As many folks picking this up are on the raid roster I'd imagine quitting WoW for SWTOR isn't really what the aim is here.

If you wait, and then we've all had our fun with it, you've missed a trick there! ;D

With the vast majority of my RP circle moving permanently to SWTOR, this is likely going to be my new home :) RP always was my first and foremost interest in a game, and I have some pretty high hopes for SWTOR's end game.

There's alot of moaning atm that SWTOR has no end game and it's not necessarily true. I mean, remember how much end game there was for WoW at first? Seven years ago? :3

It'll work out either way. I'm hoping SWTOR finally becomes a genuine competitor for WoW. Then both sides of the fence will have to work to keep their subs. gamers win all around.

I tired another MMO once, towards the end of WotLK. It was FFXIV. Not going to make that mistake again xD.

I think i tried warhammer once for a bit...was boring as hell. If i wouldn`t have gotten those 4 days of beta, probably would`ve been a while til I tried this one out. But the question was really fun ;D although for a very long while i`ll probs play it just for the stories.

I`m definitely not quitting wow for this, just play it like I played some other rpgs of bioware`s recently. :)

Guess we will somehow have to convince Ara, then Maky will change his mind too.
