It's not much of a difference tbh. I think part of that is remenant belief from Diablo II! Fairly sure blizz have stated they didn't want it to be a big difference or people would just farm the cow level and no other parts of the game. And that is not what they want.

According to the theories in forums, the secret cow level seems to drop best loot in the game (one step above last level of your difficulty), and also has significantly higher droprate of legendaries.

But yeah, D3 is single player game for most, so server problems at Blizz are epic fail.

WoW had frequently 2-3 day outages during vanilla and early TBC after wednesday maintenances.

I dunnoooo. I think the WoW forum would descend into worse rage if faced with a similar situation.

Kinda proves that WoW players are more mature in comparison. Regardless of the minimum age limit of the game.

There seems to be an unusual amount of nerdrage in the D3 tech support forum. It actually makes the wow forums look mature by comparison.

Is the word "hybrid" Used correclty
« on: Saturday, 18 Aug 2007, 15:29:11 »
After reading post etc, I have kinda reached a theory/thought about the word.

http://encarta.msn.com/dictionary_/hybrid.html

Most people on World of Warcraft say the hybrid classes are: Druid, paladin, sharman and maybe priest.

But looking at talent trees I personally feel all classes are hybrid. Every class has really to a degree can/have 2 different roles.

For example:
Warrior: tank/DPS
Mage: DPS/CC

Whilst reading on how to play Druid I kept reading "gear dependant", "hybrid" and "Can or may not be as good as a pure". But surely This is true for tanking.. You cant really dps with a shield or tank great with a twohander or you cant off tank with crit gear on a warlock.

The only class that really doesn't fit is rogue.

What do others think?

Fist then all i think that ppl who write about classes sometimes did't play them, at least till high level, but simply study theirs talent tree.

You can read the tankadin guide on wowwiki: at the beginning it says pally can be a tank as warriors and druids, simply he is a different tank. at the end someone else try to explain that a pally can't be as good as a warrior as tank.

Talking about tanks, pallys and druids are considered hybrid classes, since they can do at least 2 roles in an instance (tank or healer mainly). Dps warriors can do instances, but they haven't CC, so many guides don't consider classes without CC as instance classes. This way, i theirs opinion warrior can just be tank to be useful in an instance and as a consequence they are a pure tank class.

i agree with you: nearly all classes can be considered "hybrid", but there are roles who are simpler for a certain class (if you just have a good build) and others who requires loads of drops to be done efficiently.
