Greetins!
Damage meters....... we all love them, even though we sometimes do not admit it.....
In celebration to this tool, that everyday enables us to compete with ourselves, friends and strangers; we are organizing a competition run through Naxx-25 that will be
all about the damage meter! This run will be logged, and a link to the log will be posted here on this thread upon completion. Along with the "winners" of the following categories:
- Most damage done on bosses - Most damage done overall (all bosses+all trash)
- Most damage done on
PatchwerkIt will be presented per individual, per class average AND best per class.
One might think that this run will be about precision and maximising group DPS,
but it won't! We will on purpose create a chaotic raid enviroment to make it
hard for the competitors. Where the individual player awareness and "stay out of fire"-skill will be worth a whole lot more than raw output potential.
A few things you will need to adapt to in order to be competative during this run: - There will be no tactics explainations, if you do not know all the fights you will simply have to prepare as best as you can on your own and improvise on the spot.
- There will be a ready check and full rebuff before each
wing, not each boss.
- Patchwerk will be an exception, since it's such a classic boss for comparisons. We will have a full rebuff and readycheck before pulling him, and we will make sure to use bloodlust during the encounter.
- The raid will keep moving as long as there is enough people alive to keep it moving, do not expect the raid to stop and resurrect you should you die. Release and run.
- During the Loatheb encounter: it's full out
spore-war! Every man for himself. There are no rules regarding the spores and you may even kill spores just to stop others from gaining the buff.

In short:
this will be chaos! If you would love to test yourself in such an enviroment, or simply love to come along to see the mayheim; sign up! If you on the other hand do not fancy a rather stressful and chaotic run possibly leading to a few corpse runs and repair bills; this is not for you.
We expect a very fast pace, seeing Noth die before he teleports, seing Heigan die before the dance. Lots of rather funny and chaotic situations to handle and lots and lots of giggles.
Loot rules:There are none. It will be set on group loot. Use need for both mainspec and offspec, or disenchant. We assume that this loot is so outdated that there will be no need to micro-manage needing/greeding.
Taking Care of Business:There will be a small core of this raid that consists of tanks, healers and a few DPS'ers that are not there to compete. These players will take care of any special assignement, such as kiting adds on Gluth, offtanking 4 horsemen, mind control at Instructor Razawasisname. We hope that the bulk of the raid can more or less show up and improvise without needing to think of
anything apart from their own position on the damage meter.
