Yesterday on 6 Jan, the second wing of Icecrown Citadel was released - The Plagueworks. Contrary to what we`ve been facing since ToC in normal mode, these bosses were actually real bosses, not loot-pinatas. We were all happy to encounter some challenge in the zone, and the excitement was shown in the performance too, people were so enthusiast of real bosses so everyone played their top game! I don`t want to enter the never-ending debate of "content too easy/content too hard", because it depends on the point of view. Compared to the first wing, Plagueworks is
way harder; probably the zone-wide buff is going to help lesser-geared groups on this matter.
Anyways:
Rotface and Festergut defeated by <Prophecy> !We took down the first 2 bosses, the "twin brothers" Rotface and Festergut. I won`t say "easy" because they weren`t easy at all.
We started the night with Festergut, after being extra careful with the trash (just a single death on Stinky!). We decided to "test the waters" and pulled him, wiped to a 6% berserk which was a pleasant surprise. Killed him the next try, right as he enraged. We did have a disconnect though! This screenie should say enough: (

We moved on to Rotface, which was a bit more chaotic. He teamed up with Lagboss! First pull, half the raid suddenly gets 5-6 sec delay on all spells, we pressed random buttons and saw (or not?) what the fight looks like. Personally I couldn`t understand anything due to the huge lag.
Second pull, same thing, but this time we manage to live more in the fight. Server stabilises a bit after we lose half the raid, we start to make a tactic.
Third pull, lag is even worse, unplayable at start, but in the middle of the attempt it stabilises, too bad we lost first 3 mins of the fight which are the most important. Fortunately lag stopped enough to make a fourth attempt and kill him. No screenie here sadly, we were a bit lazy.
We didn`t attempt (yet) Professor Putricide due to rumors of it being bugged and server instability. It looks like a fun boss, but at least to me, the limited attempts idea sucks. I know it`s purpose, I understand why it`s there, I just don`t like it; where`s the fun if you can`t play?
