It looks like the error codes have received a much needed upgrade. I've gone from 33 to 37. Yay! Or something.

Well, the servers are allegedly back up. However, they seem to have limited concurrency rather severely.

Well, the error has now morphed into Error 3003. This is quite an outage

act 3 hell (~halfway), we got a "vampiric molten " pack
(quote) Row: "I refuse"
it was also a running-away type of mob so it pulled many many other packs too

Actually, I find vampiric mortar to be pretty horrific, given how many pets I have out for them to kill  :'(

Resilience change

Taken from a blue post on the american general forums...

Quote
In the next major content patch, the combat rating, resilience, will also reduce the damage dealt by damage over time (DoT) effects. As it currently stands, each new tier of equipment adds to the amount of damage DoT abilities have, yet that damage is not mitigated through combat ratings found on typical equipment. This change will help ensure that DoT effects do not scale too well compared to other damage mechanics.

The amount of damage reduced will be equal to the critical chance reduction effect that resilience grants.

Imo, this balances resilences effect across the classes. Cheers Blizz.

This makes alot of sense- hurrah for Blizz.

On the other hand, I was looking forward to levelling my affliction lock for the non-crit reliant pvp pwnage.

Well, it depends on the original intentions of resilience. I think the original goal with TBC itemisation was to reduce the importance of luck in PvP, that is why they reduced the item value cost of stamina and introduced resilience. Both work against lucky burst damage.

DoTs cannot do burst damage, so it may be a reason why resilience only affects crits. They could have made resilience to give overall damage resistance in the first place. With this change, it effectively will function as such.

On the other hand it was unfair that resilience reduced damage dealt by most damage types while leaving DoT damage untouched. So all in all I agree with this change.
