It looks like the error codes have received a much needed upgrade. I've gone from 33 to 37. Yay! Or something.

Well, the servers are allegedly back up. However, they seem to have limited concurrency rather severely.

act 3 hell (~halfway), we got a "vampiric molten " pack
(quote) Row: "I refuse"
it was also a running-away type of mob so it pulled many many other packs too

Actually, I find vampiric mortar to be pretty horrific, given how many pets I have out for them to kill  :'(

No more need for SpamSentry?
« on: Saturday, 26 May 2007, 19:55:02 »
Quite a few people, including myself, use the SpamSentry add-on (which is just wonderful).

Well, Blizz have now incorporated into the game an anti-spam feature - maybe not as good, but certainly there may no longer be any need to install a seperate add-on.  Although, SpamSentry does also contain logic so you can report suspected 'bots' and RP-name violations.

Yep, SpamSentry has been disabled by Blizzard. You can use SpamMeNot to protect yourself from spam (it also filters spam on standard channels such as trade for example) and report using the spam feature which has been implemented by Blizzard.

SpamSentry has been disabled because its report feature is no longer needed since the new feature, and it's actually more trouble than good for GMs. With the new feature they just get everything registered into a database and can see a spammer in real time. With SpamSentry's report it was like having to note down the name and then check if other people had reported the same person, and since there was no automation for them, it must have been quite difficult for them to weed through all the SpamSentry reports.

When there was no spam feature in the Blizzard UI SpamSentry was wonderful (I myself used it), but right now I strongly reccomend using Blizzard's report system combined with SpamMeNot.

On another note: Blizzard disabled whispers partially from trial accounts. A trial account cannot whisper to someone unless they are on their friend list or have been whispered to first. This is another anti-spam measure.
