Prophecy, on the Throne of Kel'Thuzad.

This Tuesday (16th of December), Prophecy defeated Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad on Heroic Mode.

So..... Heroic Mode Naxxramas is cleared. Only 1 boss remaining until we've cleared the current content of Wrath of the Lich king (except achievements, if that is to be called content.) It feels bittersweet. But there is unfortunately not much we can do about this except getting in line for Blizzards complaint department begging for harder content.

We have had victorious moments on our journey through The Burning Crusade™ that makes this achievement pale in comparison. It was fun nonetheless, but it went way too fast. We hunger for more.

Thaddius will not tolerate unstable connections!

A single member has the opportunity to wipe the whole raid on Thaddius. Check your cables, call up your ISP and yell at them. Make sure you can see your debuffs. Or this might happen.

Interestingly enough; the hardest fight for us in heroic mode so far has been Thaddius, -who we killed this Sunday (14th of December). The nature of the fight was similar to Archimonde in the way that 1 single misstake or unlucky disconnect most likely results in a wipe. The kind of encounter that is jokingly called a "retard check". Each participant must nail the key strategy point. The difference between Archimonde and Thaddius is of course; Archimonde required improvisation and adaptation from each participant, Thaddius only required to move in a easy pattern.

Thaddius required more time and effort for us to get down than Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad.

Sapphiron.

How to succesfully move a huge angry pile of bones 20 yards of the center point of a circular room and get away with it.

Sapphiron is a fight tuned for using some/a lot of frost resistance. However; due to the overall difficulty of all raid encounters, do not bother. It is most likely way faster to just learn to kill him without than to gather gear. It's a very interesting fight mechanic wise, but once again; too easy. A decreased enrage timer or a increased pool of hitpoints would probably do the trick though since healing wasn't all too easy. (At least not without any resistance gear).

All in all, we made it. If it was too easy or if it was a proper "entry level" difficulty is up to debate. Ulduar will hopefully be the indicator. In the meantime we have Malygos, random achievements and..... have we all maxed out Fishing yet? Cheesy

Blizzard called Naxxramas, the new Karazhan, and for a group of raid-experienced, and generally skilled players, Karazhan would not pose that much of a hassle. (Apart from Shade of Aran pre-nerf, I mean, wtf was up with that dude? Flame Wreath + Arcane Explosion = Woop de-fraggle-do! )

Anyhow, I think instances will be harder after these entry level raids, which are a good thing, imo. Lets more people get used to raids and how to learn what to do.

Though, I do not expect to see encounters at the skill levels of Kil'jaeden. Blizzard explicitly said that they will not have encounters which only 5% of the player base ever will see, and down on top of that.

All in all. Good job, no matter what, Prophecy. I hope I'll be there for some future raids once I get Aditu up to raiding level.
