First post in the news area! We`ll have to cover up a bit for the whole WotLK experience so far, so it`s going to be quite a wall of text.
Enjoy! Smiley

Naxxramas (25-man) : Military Quarter cleared

Tonight (07/12/08) we cleared the three bosses in the Military Quarter of Naxxramas - Instructor Razuvious, Gothik the Harvester and The Four Horsemen.

We warmed up a bit on Instructor Razuvious, and got him to 19% in the first try, and got him down the try afterwards. It was a nice warmup fight for the Military Quarter, too bad most it was "tank and spank" for most of the people.

Afterwards, we proceeded to 2-shot Gothik the Harvester as well. It was a fun fight, but we were prepared from the 10-man version, so it went down fast.

Finally, we went on to The Four Horsemen. This was a very fun and quite challenging fight, unfortunately our main "challenge" was server connection, which screwed up a few good attempts. Nonetheless, we prevailed!

Congratulations to Bullzerker and Pipehoof for their new Tier 7 chestpieces!

We have three wings cleared in Naxxramas (heroic) now - Plague, Spider and Military, and we`re going for more on Tuesday!

Naxxramas (10-man) short story

We also spent time in the normal version of the raids. We started Naxx in the second week of WotLK and had a good start with killing 9 bosses during that week - whole Spider, Military and Plague quarters. Thanks to our friends Nightsleper <Dark Elders>, Ashdell <Obscura Legio>, Quun <Obscura Legio> and Sweetkill <Dark Elders> for joining us when we lacked 1-2 people.
We had a really good time and enjoyed progressing through it, and went there next week too, with a full guild team this time. After a really good start, with killing all the 9 bosses we did previous week in one day, we decided to try Patchwerk - the gear check. It turned out easier than expected, we ended up killing him in the "let`s check our dps" try.
Out of the other Construct wing bosses, personally to me it felt that Gluth was the hardest, and most challenging and fun. It was very fun to learn the encounter, unfortunately he survived with 1% on Thursday evening Sad
We were back on Friday though! We were fresh, prepared, and we had the will to achieve victory! We got both Gluth and Thaddius down fast, and then prepared for a nice moment - entering Frostwyrm Lair.

The event was so nice! We were all happy, but the boss was quite unforgiving in the first tries. We seemed to have no chance apparently, but after some heavy work (specially due to our healers!) we killed Sapphiron too! Speaking personally once again, to me this one seemed the hardest boss in the whole instance, by far. It brought back some BT raiding memories (back then, bosses had the tendency to die harder), and it was a really nice kill.

We were already overtime, but there was only one left. The only one. Kel`thuzad! Of course, we couldn`t resist the temptation to see him, and we ended up with him at 59% in the first attempt!

We were so enthusiast of the outcome and we decided to try it out for real! After a few tries, some really unlucky, we got him down! It was a really great moment for all of us, and the 2 hour overtime was surely more than worthy.

Speaking from a more personal point of view now, I feel that raids have become easier in WotLK, compared to TBC. Indeed, there are some achievements that seem impossible at first glance, but achievements themselves don`t have the same feeling as the first kill of a boss. So far I`ve had fun to progress through Naxx-10 with a raid that wasn`t extremely well geared (I was still wearing a lot of T6 pieces), and the whole experience was fun; however, none of the bosses had an epic feeling like Vashj or Kael`thas.
Can`t wait to try Malygos properly, it seemed like a really fun fight (especially P3, I`m totally looking forward for that). Sadly, we only had a few tries on him in the 10-man, and our setup was really bad for the encounter.
Anyways, to sum it up, I`m having fun with exploring the new raid content, but I hope to have a few epic fights as well, just like Vashj and Kael felt in TBC.

Have fun in-game!
